An Evening to Remember

Artist's note: In my thirty years of being a gallery owner in northwest Iowa, I don't know how many requests I have had for paintings of the Okoboji resort area in the northern part of our state. I decided to work on a series of paintings of the area. In this one, I really wanted to work in the antique vessel called “The Queen.” Through the years there have been weddings and parties of all kinds on this boat. It could have happened last week or years ago, but for a lot of people the boat brought them an evening to remember.
